 Dominik Audio aka MDK Deejay started out playing house music in his buddy DeeeBoy's basement after a long night of raving in 1999. Having never DJ'd before obviously the mixing was all over the place at the time, but after watching and watching DeeeBoy spin and then stepping to the plate and playing for weeks on end, his mixing finally started to be tolerable to those around him.  Dominik wanted to DJ since watching a turntablist style DJ battle in his junior year of high school featuring DJ KAOS (don't remember the other guy's name), who was the homie. After watching KAOS wreck shop and turn the normally boring and hated Montgomery High School gymnasium into a FULLY HYPHY dance floor, he knew this was one day to be his calling. 5 years later he got his chance and never looked back. Dominik discovered breaks as a lot of us did, through artists like Luke Skywalker and The 2 Live Crew, as well as Gucci Crew and DJ Magic Mike who collaboratively basically invented the big bass 808 Miami sound. However, until going to GhostTribe parties in the Bay Area and seeing DJ's like frank Nitty and DJ Ghost, spinning breaks and rocking warehouses FULL of people, it never occurred to him. Having been a house-stepper and pure house head for basically the entirety of his raving career and a hiphop junkie since buying his first NWA cassette, transitioning from spinning house to breakbeats just seemed like a natural progression. He has been spinning breaks since 2002 and released his first CD entitled Chops & Raggas in 2005. He has had many residencies and played basically every type of party you can think of. From raves and block parties to weddings and clubs & EVERYTHING in between. He joined Smoke Break Crew and the RadioCave family in early 2020 and is already doing BIG things. He has been a part of our many fundraisers this year as well as our virtual stage for EarthDance 2020. He has recently adde Fractured SF to his list of crew affiliations and runs The Chop Shop SF, which is a DJ recording studio and LIVE mix show on Twitch.tv/dominik_audio 

 He is also the host of the Weekly Re-Up on NuBreaks.com every Monday night from 5-730p PST / 8-1030 EST.
