Shiver is based in California. 

Born in India, Shiver moved to Saudi Arabia where he grew up with Rock and Roll and Heavy Metal music. After coming to SoCal for higher education in 2001, he was exposed to Grunge Rock and gravitated to collecting Jazz and Funk vinyl during grad school. Here he experienced music at scale, attending large EDM festivals such as Electric Forest, EDC, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo. His love for magic experienced as a journey through dance floor energy was born.

Shiver started experiencing faster basslines through Techno upon moving to the Bay area in 2018. Life took him away from his passion of music, having lost his father and going through a difficult divorce. Walking Lake Merritt at the tail end of the Pandemic, Shiver was connected cosmically and spontaneously to an individual who invited him to Psytrance parties such as Sammi’s Lake Merritt Forrest Function parties and he was invited to stay with 2 roommates in Oakland (Viśvāmitr and Luzidtrip) who inspired him to listen to Dark Psy and Hitech music and opened him up to the love of Goa Gil. Attending psytrance house parties, Lake Parties, Santa Cruz beach parties, Heaven on Earth and DNA Lounge, Shiver was encouraged to play music in late 2023. 

After participating in several intentional Psychedelic Ceremonies to lift his wellbeing, Shiver participated as a Facilitator to hold space for others in their psychedelic journeys, and understood that music is an expression of life and processing emotions in flow. Named after the lord Shiva, his DJ project Shiver was born in early 2024 among friends and roomies of Fractal Factory Bay Area Darkpsy collective, who have a love of Psychedelics used for common good.

As Shiver, he is a DJ resident at Fuse Collective in SF and 3am Playground in LA. Though he has played a wider spectrum of music at public venues (DnB at Lake Merritt Fire Jam, Tech House at Los Globos in LA), Shiver at its core is a Psytrance project focused on groovy basslines and psychedelic melodies exploring a functional distortion of soundscapes to navigate seemingly chaotic rhythms and elevate collective consciousness through shared energy on and off the dancefloor. Shiver debuted Full on Psytrance and Psytech at house parties in Oakland and San Mateo, before shifting to public venues such as Buzzworks and BRIX exploring dark Psy and acid HiTech. 

As a dancefloor commander, he has played full spectrum Psytrance exploring darkness and light at Goa Moon Festival, Point of Origin Festival, Pink Dragon Campout and opened for Heaven on Earth Dark Psy festival in 2025.
